It is noted that all the audiovisual material and its documentation is available only in Greek. All the remaining site content is available in English as well.
The audiovisual archive of Vikelaia Library began to be organized and developed systematically in 1986. However, the archived material extends from the beginning of the 20th century until today, including audiovisual evidence of persons and events that shaped the historical, social, economic and cultural reality of Crete and the country in general. The digitization, the documentation and the provision of access to the collections of the audiovisual department aim to promote and make possible their research, study and utilization by anyone expressing interest.
