Intellectual Property Rights (Copyright)
The Municipality of Heraklion retains all copyrights as well as property titles regarding the content, all copies created based on it, as well as all copyrights and other property rights related to it.
The content of the portal is available to its visitors/users for personal use. The content is subject to change without notice at the discretion of the portal administrator. Once the terms of use are accepted, non-commercial use and reproduction, in whole or in part, is permitted, provided that the reproduced product is subsequently freely available via the Internet or other suitable medium and is accompanied by a clear and distinct reference to its source. Any other use requires the express written permission of the copyright owner or proprietor.
The other products or services mentioned in the web pages of this portal and bear the marks of the respective organizations, companies, associates, associations or publications, are their own intellectual and industrial property and therefore these bodies bear the relevant responsibility.

The administrator of the portal collects the personal data of its visitors/users, only when they voluntarily provide it. Personal information is information that can be used to identify or communicate with a person as well as other information relating to that person. The personal data collected at the portal are the following: full name, email address and user location.
The administrator of the portal will not make available for sale or otherwise transfer or disclose personal data of visitors/users of the portal to third parties, not related to him or her (the administrator of the portal), without the consent of the visitor/user, except the application relevant legal dictates and to the competent authorities only.

Cookies
The portal uses cookies for its smooth operation and the optimal experience of its visitors. The portal does not request personal information from its visitors while navigating its content. The portal collects the personal data of its visitors/users only when they voluntarily provide it. Personal information is information that can be used to identify or communicate with a person as well as other information relating to that person. Use of interactive areas
The portal manager can provide contact forms, bulletin boards and other interactive areas to the portal. Use of any of the interaction sites implies that the visitor/user is solely responsible for the communication he/she makes and the consequences resulting from the publication of this communication.
The visitor/user accepts and undertakes not to take the following actions:
- use of the area of interaction for any purpose in violation of applicable law,

- publishing material that contains “viruses”, “malicious” code that could damage or corrupt the files or programs of the portal administrator or its users;
- publication of advertisements or other commercial material, falsification of his or her identity,
- any other action that restricts or prevents another person from using the areas of interaction and in general the portal or action that at the discretion of the portal administrator exposes himself or herself or one of his or her users to legal responsibilities or situations detrimental to them.
Limitation of liability of the Municipality of Heraklion – Disclaimer
The content of the portal is available “as is” and the Municipality of Heraklion does not provide any guarantee, express or not, regarding the completeness, correctness, timeliness, commerciality, non-violation or suitability of this content for any use, application or purpose.
The Municipality of Heraklion, under any circumstances, including the case of negligence, is not responsible for any kind of damage suffered by the visitor/user of the pages, services, options and contents of the portal to which he or she proceeds on his or her initiative and with the knowledge of these terms. Also, the Municipality of Heraklion does not guarantee that the pages, services, options and contents will be provided without interruption, without errors, that errors will be corrected or that all questions will be answered. Similarly, the Municipality of Heraklion does not guarantee that the portal or any other related website or the servers through which the content is made available to visitors/users are provided without “viruses” or other harmful components. The cost of any corrections or services is borne by the visitor/user and in no case the Municipality of Heraklion.

The portal provides the possibility of accessing third party websites through appropriate links. These links have been placed solely for the convenience of the visitors/users of the portal, while the websites to which they refer are subject to the respective, of these websites, terms of use. If the visitor/user of the portal decides to use, through its links, one of the third-party websites, he or she accepts that he or she does so at his or her own risk.
Applicable law and other terms
The above terms and conditions of use of the portal, as well as any modification, change or alteration, are governed by and supplemented by national law, Community law and relevant international treaties. Any provision of the above terms that is found to be contrary to the above legal framework or becomes invalid automatically ceases to be valid and is removed from here, without in any way affecting the validity of the other terms. This constitutes the entire agreement between the administrator of the portal and the visitor/user of its pages and services and binds only them. Modification of these terms will not be considered and will not form part of this agreement unless it has been formulated in writing and incorporated into it.
It is expressly agreed that the visitor/user of the portal agrees to be subject to any claims, disagreements or other controversies concerning or arising from the application of these terms and the general use of the portal by him or her, unless resolved amicably, in the jurisdiction of the Courts.
